Bowland Wines started training in 2015, from recognising a trend in the market towards English Wine. They wanted a site with integrated E-Commerce to sell online, very much focusing on the ‘Made in Britain’ tag, as well as being the leader in the hole they saw in the market.rnrnThere was a few alternative companies doing a similar thing, but not as the professional, trustworthy company that Bowland Wines wanted to be.
I started with the branding, and came up with a few ideas, until we decided on the final version, from here I started to highlight the user journeys, what customers will be looking for, in a market where not a great deal is known about, is it the grape? is it the colour of wine? I put the site together in WordPress using E-Commerce and wanted to keep the site as clean and simple as possible, to let the customer immerse themselves in the wine, as well as read the notes on the wine, or the cases to learn more about products, especially as English Wine isn’t very well documented upon, although the market is moving towards this market.
