The Sourdough Pizza Company is an upmarket, handmade sourdough pizza delivery company in the lake district. They are a new restaurant in the area and wanted to make an instant impact to target both the local area and the tourists.rnrnThe Sourdough Pizza Company aren’t about JustEat or Hungry House, and their pizzas are all lovingly handmade with the best local ingredients, they wanted their online presence to reflect this, from the way the site looked from a typographical way, and they were very interested in playing with the vintage feel.
Using their existing menu as starting point, I designed, and built a WordPress site that kept their tone of voice perfectly.rnrnI kept the design simple, and let the fun creatives do the talking, we had a range of puns with the main pizza ingredients, such as chillies and mozzarella-ella-ella. My client only had the one shop in Ambleside when I started the project, but during its development they opened a second shop in Kendal, this came with a few problems, as a visitor would need to know about the two locations, and the delivery limitations within each shops areas. We added in a full menu, that works on mobile, so customers can view the menu if they were out with friends, on the move, or sat ordering from their phone or tablet.
